An opportunity to purchase your first home in Oxford

divider

With property values in Oxfordshire 30% greater than the average price for the South East, this popular county may seem out of reach for first-time buyers...

However, leading housing association Catalyst are making it easier for new homeowners to get on to the property ladder in the area with their new collection of one-to four-bedroom homes at Newman Place in Littlemore.

All homes are available through Shared Ownership; the government-backed part-buy, part-rent scheme which provides an alternative route on to the property ladder for first-time buyers. Through the scheme, buyers purchase a percentage share of their home, usually between 25% to 75%, and pay rent on the remaining portion. Purchasers need as little as a 5% deposit for the share they purchase, and a mortgage to cover this portion. At Newman Place, deposits required start from as little as £3437.50. As and when buyers can afford to, they can purchase larger shares in their home, through a process called staircasing.

Featuring high specification finishes throughout, the apartments feature open-plan living areas, generous private balconies and large windows creating bright and spacious homes. Symphony kitchens feature fully integrated appliances, whilst bathrooms include contemporary white sanitaryware, chrome accessories and ceramic tiled flooring.

Less than four miles south of Oxford’s City Centre, Catalyst’s Newman Place is set within attractive landscaped grounds and has been designed to reflect the character of its natural landscape, with gently curving roads and rich landscaping. A raised walkway also stretches the perimeter of the site and weaves through trees, bringing residents closer to nature.

The homes are moments from the rolling Oxfordshire countryside, with Heyford Meadow Nature Reserve just one mile away, providing a picturesque walking spot along the River Thames, whilst closer green spaces include Littlemore Park. Nearby, the lively Cowley Road is home to a host of restaurants and bars with popular cuisines including Tapas and Caribbean.

Perfect for families, the homes are positioned close to a range of amenities in Littlemore including a nursery, range of supermarkets and parade of shops. Just a 10-minute drive away, buzzing Oxford city centre also offers a plethora of shops and restaurants.

Prices at Newman Place start from £68,750 for a 25% share of a one- bedroom apartment (FMV:£275,000) and £84,375 for a 25% share of a two-bedroom apartment (FMV:£337,500).
