The Alice Jan2022 15

Immerse yourself in a world of Regency splendour by joining The Alice in Oxford for their very special Afternoon Tea

On Saturday 22nd October, The Alice will host an unforgettable Regency Afternoon Tea inspired by cultural phenomenon, Bridgerton. Set within the grandeur of The Randolph Hotel, the experience will feature a suitably indulgent and quintessentially English afternoon tea served alongside live music, performance and dance.

The Randolph Hotel’s regal Lancaster and Drawing Rooms – fittingly decadent spaces punctuated with pinks, greens, and crushed velvet – will provide the perfect backdrop to festivities, transporting guests to the Bridgertons’ Regency mansion. Whilst performers dance in full Bridgerton regalia and a live string band play instrumental renditions of everyone’s favourite pop songs, afternoon tea will be served to guests, who are encouraged to step back in time, don their finest Regency-inspired garments and join in the merriment.

Just as Lady Whisteldown would have wanted, the occasion will begin with a celebratory glass of Coates & Seely English sparkling wine before the live entertainment commences. The afternoon tea menu offers a selection of sandwiches including roast chicken and tarragon, free-range egg with cress, cucumber and dill, and smoked salmon with lemon and cream cheese. These will be followed by freshly baked fruit scones, complemented by a selection of jams and clotted cream and then, the cakes; spiced pumpkin macarons, raspberry mousse cake, custard tart and an indulgent dark chocolate slice. Traditional teas by Canton Teas will also be served.

Guests are invited to carry on the festivities and stay overnight in one of The Randolph Hotel’s sumptuous rooms for up to 30% off with the code BRIDGERTON.

The Bridgerton afternoon tea event will take place on Saturday 22nd October from 2:30-5pm with tickets priced at £55pp. For more information and to buy tickets, click here
