This year is all about getting together, so make sure you visit Cogges Manor Farm for a unique day out. A Cotswold treasure nestled in the heart of Witney, the much-loved heritage farm is open to visitors from 11th February 2023.

With a beautiful Manor House, enchanting walled garden, orchard, adventure play and friendly animal residents, there's 17 acres of open space for you and your family to enjoy. Look out for baking and kid’s activities at weekends or during the holidays, well-behaved dogs on a short lead are welcome too.

Also known as ‘Yew Tree Farm’ from legendary Downton Abbey, (also appearing in film and TV productions from BBC Countryfile to Colette with Keira Knightley!) you can take guided tours and see where all the action happens. Open every day until the end of October, the annual Season Ticket is fantastic value for families – you can visit as many times as you want during open season and receive discounts on special events. Look out for a super-fun events programme in 2023, packed full of family activities, theatre on the lawn and special events (with ample free parking).

Learn a new skill and have fun.

Try something new and sign up for a workshop for the grown-ups. The extensive programme of activities and traditional skills courses is supported by the National Heritage Lottery Fund, where you can choose from yoga to gardening, foraging, crafting, weaving, ceramics, art courses and much more throughout the year. A great way to spend time with friends and family or meet new people, upskill and treat yourself in a special setting.

Cogges Kitchen Café is open to all from 9am and you don't need a farm entry ticket. Catch up with a friend over a brew or locally sourced coffee. Try the ever-popular toasties, light lunches including children’s options, cakes and pastries – even wine or craft beer! With an outdoor play area and lots of rustic seating, it's a lovely visit in itself. The farm shop is full of special gift ideas and gorgeous locally-produced goods, from homeware to gardening tools, or try Cogges honey, straight from the garden bees. See artwork and crafts on display, made by local artists and talented volunteers. Cogges Heritage Trust volunteers were recently awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a local voluntary group can receive in the UK – visit Cogges this season and see why!
