Winter + lockdown + central heating + ignominious attempts to cut my own fringe = one thing. I need a decent haircut. Just me? I doubt it. Luckily, I also know where to get one. Prior to Lockdown 2.0 I had a memorable cut at Electric London’s new enterprise, Current Works on St Ebbes Street in Central Oxford. The concept is great: a shared workspace for freelance creatives. All stylists and colourists have been handpicked and approved as working to the standards Electric seek to maintain – and that standard is gratifyingly high. COVID safety regulations are firmly in place, and despite this there is still an enjoyable and discernible buzz to be found in this friendly, urban-chic salon. Whilst you’re there stock up on Electric’s product range; the anti-static Hydrate shampoo and conditioner work really well to combat hat-head.
