Wake up a plain decor or create an eye-catching feature by bringing bright, bold tiles into your home.

These beautiful tiles are available from Tileflair, established in 1972 and the largest privately-owned wall & floor tile retailer based in southern England with 10 stores and an e-commerce website. We’ve explored their current collection and selected the best coloured and patterned tiles to create a striking showpiece.

GET COLOURFUL

There is something quite playful and exotic about bright and bold colour in our decor. Simple, no-nonsense shades give your home oodles of uplifting energy and spirit, whether it’s on the bathroom wall, the kitchen floor or a feature wall in your living room.

Using vibrant colour on your walls and floors can really change the whole feel of a room. Bold colour works particularly well when it’s the showpiece in the room, so paring with clean, white units and furnishings is a great idea. Alternatively, add a soft neutral colour to help complement the strong wall or floor colour.

Pastel colour soft pinks and blues are very much on trend at the moment and can be used to striking effect. Use pink tiles with a dark, contrasting colour on the wall and your room becomes a real talking point.

Blues provide a beautiful backdrop to a crisp white kitchen or bathroom and are a perfect match if you are trying to achieve that ‘By the Sea’ look. Pale pastel blue tiles which mimic mother of pearl add a touch of shimmer to a room.

PART OF THE PATTERN

Patterned tiles have been around for centuries and for good reason – they bring instant impact and transform a room from drab to divine. Patterned wall and floor tiles are growing in popularity, there is now almost any style, colour or pattern to choose for your home, this diversity of choice means that there is almost certainly the perfect pattern out there for you.

Patterned walls and floors shouldn’t be restricted to Victorian or Edwardian homes. A modern home works just as well with patterned tiles. For small rooms use a more intricate pattern, while a larger pattern will hold its own and make more of a statement in a sizable room. Spacious hallways are perfect for being exuberant with a large patterned floor tile, impressing visitors as soon as they walk through the door.

You can get creative with pattern too by using a plain tile next to a patterned tile to delineate separate functional areas and to give some contrast to an area you wish to highlight or create a rug effect underneath a kitchen table. Take the pattern up the wall in your bathroom to form a stunning backdrop to your feature bath.
