A new online marketplace dubbed ‘Amazon for millionaires’ has launched a new category on its website for ‘Bottled Oxygen’. The new category offers clean air to individuals who crave non-polluted air from some of the cleanest areas of the world.

HushHush.com has bottles containing air from around the world including air from the South American Andes, the Canadian Rockies and even the Lake District. However, the most expensive bottle onsite is on the market for £329,650 and is filled with oxygen from Mount Everest base camp.

Members of the public can purchase bottles of oxygen here: https://www.hushhush.com/lifestyle/bottled-air/

Bottled Oxygen on the HushHush.com website starts retailing from £55,500 up to £329,650, dependant on the bottle size and source. Bottles from the Alps, Himalayas, Arctic, Snowdonia and the Scottish Highlands are currently in development and will be available to purchase on the site soon.

The category allows individuals who live in cities with high pollution levels to purchase and enjoy fresh oxygen from the cleanest areas of the world. The category also allows individuals who have moved away from their birthplace to purchase a bottle of their ‘home’ air.

Research has shown that air pollution is damaging to both health and cognitive performance, but it has now been proven that air pollution has a broader impact on people’s social lives too. Using pollution data and monitoring general happiness of urban residents, scientists have found a significant correlation between pollution and happiness levels. The more polluted an area is, the unhappier individuals are as a result. Women were also found to be more sensitive to high pollution levels than men, as well as those on higher incomes.*
