The Mr Hobbs Gin range of products is brought to you by the family pleasure boating business, Hobbs of Henley who give you the most enjoyable way to “mess about on the river’’. Today they are very proud to share their cherished family tipples with you and raise a glass to their Henley heritage.

The Hobbs story begins in 1870 when Mr Harry Hobbs founded Hobbs and Sons (now Hobbs of Henley). Harry was renowned locally for his flamboyant beard and mischievous nature and he was often seen on the river around 11am on his punt enjoying a gin.

Frequently spotted sipping from his wood rimmed drinking flask, Mr Hobbs was forever throwing river parties along the banks of the River Thames in Henley or hiring his boats out for members of the public to throw their own shindig.

They recently launched their award winning Mr Hobbs 150 London Dry Gin to mark their 150th anniversary of the family boating business, Hobbs of Henley, based in Henley on Thames. This award winning, classic London Dry Gin is bursting with nine botanicals including Lemon peel, Black Pepper and Grapefruit with notes of Elderflower and Green Cardamom finishing with refreshing Lemon Verbena and in 2021 won a silver award at the IWSC. ‘’Lovely balanced nose of juniper and citrus with some underlying creaminess. Earthy spice coming through more on the palate leading to a beautiful, long, balanced finish."  IWSC

This is a luxurious libation to be sipped and cherished, exquisitely balanced with a premium light tonic water and you can garnish this celebratory beverage with fresh lime & ginger to bring out the perfectly balanced botanicals with just the right amount of classic juniper notes.
