Launching on the 28th May

Worn. will provide visitors at the UK's favourite designer outlet Bicester Village, to shop more sustainably and browse the best of pre-loved designer fashion from brands including Alaia, Emilio Pucci, Alexander Wand, Jacquems, Ganni and more.

This is a huge move from Bicester Village, which is the latest brand to focus on making their high street offering more sustainable.

Worn.; a recommerce platform that gives access to the best pre-loved items from the most highly coveted wardrobes, provides a more circular model to customers looking for designer items that have only recently left the shelves. The purpose, simply to remove the stigma around pre-owned items, encourage people to buy better, shop more sustainably and increase the life-cycle of their clothes.

Since its inception at its Kensington store in 2009, co-founders Lily Fortescue and Bella Bunchanan’s mission has been to power the rising trend of re-commerce in fashion. Based on the premise of a circular economy, Worn. connects shoppers and social media influencers to reduce clothing waste and create a positive change in the fashion industry. It’s aim is to create a community devoted to people sharing their products and journey to being more sustainable.

Gen Z may have started the secondhand frenzy, however it has become apparent that they're not the only ones getting swept up in the trend. Emily Farra reported in November for Vogue that secondhand, vintage, and upcycling caught steam in 2020. She cited Lyst's annual Year in Fashion report, which revealed a 35,000 increase in searches for "vintage fashion" and a 104% increase in entries for secondhand-related keywords in September. The secondhand clothing market is a growing one, currently worth 30 billion and is estimated to grow annually by 18% through 2024.
