WELCOME TO CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL SCHOOL
Founded by Henry VIII, Christ Church Cathedral School is an Independent Day School set in 11 acres in Oxford. It has a thriving co-ed Nursery, Pre-Prep and Prep School for Boys aged 5 – 13. It offers boarding for Cathedral Choristers and flexi-boarding for day boys aged 8 – 13. CCCS is a happy and safe community where children discover and develop their talents within the classroom and beyond.
OUR HISTORY
The School is set in the heart of Oxford, opposite Christ Church Cathedral and is surrounded by Oxford Colleges. Culture and history pore out of every part of the School: our Nursery is housed in the 16th Century building, where Cardinal Wolsey once resided.
WE ENCOURAGE AND INSPIRE CHILDREN
With around 140 pupils, class sizes are kept deliberately small so we can get to know each child as an individual. With specialist teachers in all areas of the curriculum, our school prepares pupils for entry and scholarships to local independent schools and major boarding schools. In 2022, our boys achieved scholarships to Shrewsbury, Bryanston, Magdalen College School and St Edward’s School, amongst others. The School is renowned for its family orientated approach and close co-operation between parents and staff as well as its musical achievements, and for supplying choristers to Christ Church’s internationally-renowned choir.

We seek to encourage pupils to approach new challenges with confidence, not fearing failure, but learning from it. We produce pupils who are resourceful, motivated, imaginative and reflective so that when they leave our School, they will relish the challenges of life and be ready to flourish at their chosen senior schools.
